Beijing cabbage, it’s Petsai or Chinese cabbage, is a faithful assistant in the kitchen when you need to cook something tasty but fast.
This type of cabbage has loose kachan and tender leaves. Thanks to this, Peking cabbage is easier to digest than the traditional white Russian in Russia.
Petsay is ideal as a salad green, it goes well with both fresh vegetables and protein foods: boiled egg, crab sticks, cheese. In addition, Chinese cabbage is good in pickled or after a short heat treatment.
With cheese filling
Fresh crispy cabbage leaves perfectly complement the soft cheese. In addition, such a dish can be safely attributed to the ryazad of proper nutrition, as the snack contains healthy fiber and easily digestible protein.
Stuffed
Ingredients:
- 1 head of cabbage;
- 2-3 pieces Bulgarian pepper;
- 1-2 cloves of garlic;
- 200 grams of melted cheese;
- 200 gr cheese;
- 2 tbsp. sour cream;
- 1 can of olives.
Cooking:
- Thoroughly wash Peking cabbage, paying attention to each piece of paper. Cut the cabbage lengthwise into 2 pieces. Leave to dry.
- Mix 2 types of cheese and sour cream. Skip garlic through the garlic press and add to the mixture. Optionally, you can pepper.
- Bell pepper cut into small cubes. To make the dish look beautiful, it is better to take multicolored peppers.
- Drain the marinade from the olives, cut the olives themselves into thin half rings.
- Add pepper and olives to the creamy cheese mass and mix well.
- The resulting dressing fluff each cabbage leaf.
- Combine 2 pieces of cabbage and wrap it with foil. In this form, send in the refrigerator. It will take at least 2 hours to make the filling, so please be patient.
- When serving, cut the snack into portions.

Rolls
Ingredients:
- Sheets of Beijing cabbage.
- 2 pcs. melted cheese (Yantar, Friendship or other).
- 1-2 cloves of garlic.
- 2 tbsp. mayonnaise.
- 2 hard boiled eggs.
- Dill, parsley or other herbs - a small bunch.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking:
- From cabbage leaves cut hard part of the stem. If you do not want to leave the sheet whole, you can only cut off the protruding part of the stem, and slightly rest off the rest, so that it is softer.
- Grate cheese and boiled eggs. Skip the garlic through the crush. Finely chop the greens. Add mayonnaise and mix. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Put the curd on the cabbage leaf and carefully wrap. To prevent the rolls from turning, lay them on the dish in such a way that the free edge of the sheet is at the bottom.
- Decorate rolls remaining greens. You can add colors to the dish by shifting the rolls into slices of tomato.
Acute based on Korean dishes
Perhaps the most popular Korean dishes in Russia are salads: Korean carrots and, of course, kimchi.
Spicy pickled cabbage will decorate both a meal in a narrow family circle, and a festive table.
Kimchi
Ingredients:
- 1 large cabbage head;
- 6-8 cloves of garlic;
- 3 tbsp. red hot pepper;
- 1 tbsp. fish sauce;
- 1 PC. onions;
- 1 bunch of green onions;
- 50 g fresh ginger;
- 3 tbsp. salts;
- 1 tsp Sahara;
- 1.5 liters of water;
Cooking:
- Rinse well and dry the cabbage leaves. Cut into strips or squares.
- Finely chop the onion into small strips.
- In cold water, dissolve the salt. In the resulting brine to lower the prepared vegetables. For better salting, use oppression (a jar of water, a heavy stone). The process will take 3-4 hours.
- Remove the cabbage from the brine and rinse.
- Prepare a dressing. To do this, beat in a blender hot pepper, ginger, garlic, fish sauce and sugar.
- Stir the dressing and cabbage. It is better to wear gloves beforehand, because the paste will burn your hands and the pepper is rather difficult to wash off.
- Put the seasoned cabbage into sterilized jars, thoroughly tamp and roll. After 5-7 days you can enjoy a spicy snack.

Quick vegetable salad with sweet red pepper and dill
Ingredients:
- 1 large cabbage head;
- 2 tomatoes;
- 2 bell peppers;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- 4-5 cloves of garlic;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- 1.5 tbsp salts;
- 1.5 tbsp Sahara;
- 2 tbsp. vinegar;
- 1 tbsp. hot red pepper;
- 1 glass of cold water;
Cooking:
- Cabbage cut into strips, lay in a deep non-metallic dishes. Add salt, sugar and pomakam a little, carefully mixing the cabbage and spices.
- Slice tomatoes and bell peppers. It is better to do this with a thick straw, then all the vegetables will mix well with each other. Chop the dill and garlic.
- Add vinegar, water and hot pepper. For sharpness, it is better to take the pepper in flakes and independently grind it in a special mill or mince.
- Mix everything up and serve to the table or leave to marinate in the fridge for a couple of hours for a richer taste.

Quickies sandwiches
Fresh Peking cabbage is an excellent source of dietary fiber. Diversify familiar sandwiches by adding this healthy low-calorie product to your snack.

Ingredients:
- A slice of grain bread.
- Chicken or goose liver pate.
- Peking cabbage leaf.
- A slice of tomato.
Cooking:
- A slice of bread can be pre-fried in a toaster or in a dry pan.
- Spread bread pate. Put 1-2 circles of tomato on top and cover with cabbage leaf.
With chicken and sour cream
Ingredients:
- 1/2 chicken breast;
- 2-3 leaves of Chinese cabbage;
- 1 tbsp. sour cream;
- a pinch of salt;
- bread.
Cooking:
- Disassemble the fiber or chop the chicken breast.
- Chop cabbage.
- Stir chicken and cabbage, season with sour cream and salt. Put the mixture on slices of bread.
This is only part of the variety of dishes that can be prepared from Chinese cabbage. Bring a bit of creativity into the kitchen and change traditional recipes.
For example, a salad of crab sticks will become surprisingly fresh and light if you replace rice with Chinese cabbage. However, keep in mind that such a salad will need to be eaten quickly, as cabbage can produce juice and the dish will become watery. But to persuade guests or households to quickly manage the salad just do not have to!
