Morphological description

The young fruit body is shaped like an egg. It reaches a diameter of 6 cm. As it grows, the shell of the fruit body breaks, and a knife-like receptacle appears in the shape of a cylinder of white or yellow 12-22 cm in height and 2-4 cm in width, hollow inside. The top of the leg is decorated with a bell-shaped cap 4-5 cm tall, covered with dark green gleba. On top of the cap is a disk with a hole.

The ripe fruit body smells badly - its smell resembles the stench of carrion. Mushroom pickers claim that it spreads to a distance of 10–20 m from the place where the fruit body grows.
