Diseases feathered pets deliver a lot of trouble to the poultry farmers. Naturally, farmers are looking for the most effective drugs for infectious diseases. In this article, we consider the drugs "Trisulfon" and "Eymeterm", their action and application.
Trisulfone
"Trisulfon" is an antimicrobial agent of wide application, it is indicated for the treatment of farm animals, including all types of poultry. 
Composition and pharmacological properties
Slovenian drug production is available in the form of powder and suspension. Active ingredients - sulfamonometoksin and trimethoprim. Tandem preparations are active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms.

- colibacteriosis;
- staphylococcosis;
- streptococcosis;
- salmonellosis;
- coccidiosis;
- pasteurellosis;
- escherichiosis.
Application and dosage
Powder and suspension give the bird along with drinking water:
- for adults for individuals with coccidiosis, the dosage is determined at the rate of 200 ml / g of product per 100 l of water, in drinking bowls only this mixture for the whole flock, the course of treatment is up to five days;
- for other birds with other infections, the dosage is calculated on the basis of the total weight of the population - 32 kilograms per milliliter / gram of substance per drinker per day, the duration of treatment will be prescribed by a veterinarian, depending on the disease;
- to teens the dosage is halved;
- chickens up to ten days in both cases, the rate of medication is tripled.
Contraindications and side effects
No adverse effects were identified during use; allergic reactions are possible with intolerance to the components.
Important! Carriers of infections are rodents and wild birds: protection should be provided to their wards against their entry into a bird's dwelling and place of walking.
The drug is contraindicated to the hens - it negatively affects the quality of eggs. 
Slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed ten days after the end of treatment, with the forced early slaughter of meat can serve as food for fur-bearing animals.

The active ingredient of a 2.5% solution is toltrazuril. The substance disrupts the intracellular processes of microorganisms, the division of the nuclei of their cells, the respiratory system of parasites, causing their death.

Application and dosage
The solution is fed to the bird, measuring 7 mg of the drug per kilogram of live weight. During the treatment, livestock drink exclusively water with "Eymeterm". 
The duration of the treatment is two days; the medication is drunk in two ways:
- 1 ml per 1 liter of water for two days;
- 3 ml per 1 liter of water for eight hours during the day, two days.
Important! It is not necessary to prepare solution in advance: its action lasts 48 hours.
Contraindications and side effects
In case of overdose, chickens refuse food and water, while observing doses of negative reactions were not detected.
Layers of hens selected less aggressive drugs, because "Eymetherm" accumulates in the eggs. 
special instructions
The solution can be combined with food and vitamin supplements. Slaughter of meat breeds is allowed two weeks after the end of treatment.
