CHINA IS INTERESTED IN UKRAINIAN ORGANIC PRODUCTS

Organic products in China are in high demand; the market for such products is among the ten largest consumers in the world. It is logical that this characteristic of the Chinese organic market attracts Ukrainian producers and exporters.

The first step towards cooperation between countries (China and Ukraine) in the matter of organic matter will be familiarization with the Chinese laws on the domestic market. This will open up new prospects for efficient trade and will bring the Ukrainian producer to a higher level in the global market for organic products.

Elena Kovalyova, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, told about this at the seminar "Certification by Organic Standards of China. Features of Entry into the Chinese Organic Market". The event was attended by representatives of the commercial, productive and governmental sectors of Ukraine and China. On the rapid development of Ukrainian organic chemistry said Elena Kovaleva. According to her, Ukraine subsequently new legislation on organic production, along with environmental potential, has all the possibilities to gain influence on the domestic market of organic China. She noted that it is also positive that Ukrainian manufacturers are ready to seek compliance of products with international standards.

The Deputy Minister added that today the largest importing countries of Ukrainian organic matter are the countries of the European Union, the USA, Canada, Australia and some countries of Asia.

The Chinese side expressed great interest in the start of cooperation in the supply of Ukrainian organic to the People’s Republic of China.
