The leaf is large, dark green, the surface is matte. The plant is thick, fluffy, sprawling. For Latona is characterized by moderate flowering with white halos.

The plant dies off very slowly, and while dying goes on, the potato continues to grow. Dark and very lush tops to maintain soil moisture, saving it from the heat. 10-12 tubers are formed under each individual shrub, the total weight of which reaches 2.4 kg of selected potatoes.

The early, high-yield potato variety Latona is bred by Dutch agronomists. Cultivated in temperate climatic zones, mainly in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova.
