Growing stunted tomatoes

To grow quality tomatoes and get a bountiful harvest, you need to take into account some of the nuances in the growing conditions, as well as caring for the plant. Consider them in detail.

Agrotechnology

Sowing seeds for growing seedlings should be at the end of March. Before sowing, the seeds must be soaked in a weak solution of potassium permanganate, (having a slightly pink shade). After the seeds are treated with a solution of potassium permanganate, they should be thoroughly rinsed with cold water. Tomatoes are undemanding to the substrate. It is recommended to combine the substrate of the earth, loam, humus and compost, or simply use peat soil.

Important! Regardless of whether the soil was purchased in a store or blended independently, it is recommended to be well disinfected with the steaming method, since fungi and microbes are rapidly developing in it.
It is not recommended to use the soil from the garden or flower beds. Sodland is suitable only from the area where perennial grasses grow. Humus should be used if it is at least 3 years old. When the soil is prepared, it is necessary to sow the decontaminated seeds and cover them with soil so that the soil layer is 1-2 cm. When three leaves appear on each seedling, a pick should be performed. If you sow seedlings in peat tablets, then a pick will not be needed, which will greatly facilitate the process of growing seedlings. Watering seedlings is necessary as the top layer of soil dries.

To early ripe varieties of tomatoes also include varieties "Shuttle", "King", "Sanka" and "Explosion".
It is necessary to irrigate using a spray gun to prevent compaction and cracking of the soil. It is recommended to feed seedlings three times throughout the growth, for this the usual complex fertilizer for seedlings of tomatoes is suitable. Before the seedlings will be ready for planting in open ground, it must be pre-hardened for two weeks. During this period, it is necessary to take out containers with seedlings to the street, leaving first for 2 hours a day, and then every day to increase the amount of time that the seedlings spend on the street by 1 hour.

Planting seedlings in the ground

It is possible to plant seedlings in open ground 70 days after sowing the seeds.

Important! It should be noted that the landing time depends on the weather conditions and should be carried out when the frosts are no longer foreseen, this period falls to the end of May.
When choosing a suitable soil for tomatoes, air permeability, water permeability and fertility should be taken into account, all these characteristics should be sufficiently high. On the territory where it is planned to plant "Caspar", it is advised to grow vegetables such as cucumber, onions or carrots. Pits for planting seedlings should be dug up according to the 50 cm by 70 cm scheme, that is, there should be a distance of 50 cm between the bushes and 70 cm between the rows. About 7 tomato seedlings are planted per square meter.

Watering and feeding

Caspar needs regular watering with slightly warm, settled water. It is recommended not to overdo it with watering, as it is possible to provoke the development of diseases and root rot. Watering should be carried out during the period of complete drying of the top layer of soil. For dressing "Caspar" is recommended to use mineral fertilizer, which will contain a sufficient amount of potassium and phosphorus. Such a mixture can be fed about 4 times per season. The first feeding should be carried out during the formation of the fruit. All remaining three times fertilizer should be made after the 1st month.

Did you know? A tomato is not a vegetable, as many think, in botany fruits are considered berries. In 1893, due to confusion in customs duties, the US Supreme Court recognized tomatoes as vegetables, although the court noted that the berries belonged to berries, given the botanical features.

Thus, it is quite simple to grow Kaspar at home, the main thing is to take into account some of the nuances in the cultivation of seedlings and be guided by the instructions on planting and caring for them.
