The Stavropol dairy plant will receive about 650 million loans from the Stavropol branch of Sberbank of Russia. This plant will be the only place where they will manufacture pharmacopoeial lactose.
The production of powdered lactose has already been adjusted and the capacity of the first stage is now about 5 tons of finished product per shift. According to analysts and experts in the field of agriculture, the development of production of pharmacopoeial lactose will also help produce import substitution more actively, which is promising from an export point of view.

The launch of the second phase, regarding the production of lactose, is already scheduled for September 2019. Stavropol products will be used not only in baby food, as manufacturers say. Lactose is also used for the manufacture of sports nutrition, prebiotics and for agricultural purposes.
