Plum "Start" is known with 2006. Bred in VNIIGISPR them. I.V. Michurin.
The variety was obtained due to the hybridization of the Volzhskaya Belle Plum (a variety with one-dimensional large fruits, bred in 1939) and the Eurasia 21 plum (Winter-hardy, interspecific hybrid inter-specific hybrid). Originators of a grade: Kursakov Gennady Alexandrovich, Bogdanov Roman Evgenievich, G.G. Nikiforova, T.A. Pisanova.
Plum "Start" is widespread in the central part of the country. It grows remarkably in the Black Earth region. Trees of this variety can be seen on garden plots in Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Estonia.
The climate is temperate continental; mild winters.
